LOL. And I can dream of Nintendo vs. Capcom too.
Too many other companies beside the console makers would be better suited and prepared...namely another 3rd party publisher. MS has a hard enough time explaining XBox to its shareholders.
Still sucks...! They act as if they own us gamers.
Their chances were better last gen with some very good jrpgs. Can't see even a toehold happening in Japan for Xbox.
Killer app for XBox? That's a job for a Spartan.
It's Insomniac game; the own the IP. It can be on Sony if they wanted.
As Ted Price giveth, Ted Price taketh away.
Great!! This ish looks thrown together.
Unless you are a kid, your kind of thankful for the reprieve to catch up on your backlog and spare you wallet. But I think the relative lack of titles this fall has more to do with delays than an outdated quote. Sony has too many titles in development from E3 alone to think otherwise.
Probably true about console sales. Cats are waiting for the Kinect-less non-bundle @399.
Downloaded this code from the movie theatre and I still have a free 14-day trial to PS+ that I can't use.
New IPs are what I generally judge E3. I expected an Uncharted/Halo, but wouldn't had been disappointed if they didn't show cause I'm certain an Uncharted 4/Halo 5 is coming.
For MS, Scalebound and Sunset OverDrive was the only game that looked awesome to me. The first Crackdown was a hidden gem, but the second makes me skeptical.
It's a dime a dozen judgment call on who "won". Nothing should be taken seriously about it, unless it is your own.
To each their own, but I say MS and Sony are the same with Sony edging out MS w/ Project Morpheus and PSTV. Otherwise, it seemed pretty much game for game, release dates not considered.
PSTV and Vita remote play capability and PSNow are value adds that MS will have to answer for. More than just games, but greater,quicker accessib...
Scalebound was nice and unexpected, to me at least.
A 12 year old? Smack yerself for me.
I've only played the first two, and a non-continous 3/4 of the first I may add, but I thought the views of the other races toward humans and , just as importantly, each other was well fleshed out in the game and story line.
Plus it was pretty deep in addressing Drake's equation and Fermi's paradox. The story is good enough to spawn a number of different comic book series. And visiting other alien cultures rea...
@ThatOneGuyThere
Spot on with the creepiness of Aiden, that is what I was referring to about the characterization. I just don't yet care for the guy.
Exactly what I said to self the day I played it. GTA controls, characterization and presentation is much better than Watch Dogs, which is still better than Saint's Row.
GTA sucked me in with its sublime mix of zaniness and thuggery. Plus the driving experience in Watchdogs falls short of GTA. Now I know driving a Jester at break neck speed in San Andreas and not getting in a wreck isn't realistic. Which may be what Watchdogs is aiming for, because that explains why...
Excited about number of booths? Eh..? It all depends if those meeting rooms are all private showings of different games. God I hope so. It is E3 afterall. What else would they meet about?
Got mine for Indy...! I'm doing it for the SWAG and lack of LAG...!
What if DirectTV gave HBO money so only their subscriber got the programming, not cable. You'd be pissed. This is no different.
If a dev is exclusive for the sake of the game, then okay. But as a competitive strategy it is anti-gamer.
I'd start with a 5 minute montages of upcoming games and projects, followed by a 10 minute introduction by Phil about MS not new, but refocused vision on the needs of hardcore gamers where he introduces the games for the night.
Then he'll introduce a succession of devs/celebrities to show 8-10 minutes of gameplay for at least 6 games (Sunset Overdrive, Halo 5, Fable Legends, Below, D4, and new content for the now and forever XBox exclusive Titanfall). There will 5 an...
@Shillhammer
Sony had worse going for it with the PS3 than MS with XBOne. Look how well that still turned out for Sony. Now let's see how the XBOne does after trailing like the PS3. I don't think Sony is going to run away with it, but XBOne will very likely end up a clear number 2 instead of being in a dead heat with Sony up to the finish globally and dominating the English speaking world. All's good, games still play.
Funny mentioning NPD on ...
